/ Do we have to pay a deposit?

Yes we ask for a deposit, for breakages, of £100.

/ How far in advance do we need to plan our event?

The bigger the event the earlier you should start planning it. We recommend you get us involved as soon as possible. Remember that popular summer dates for weddings get booked very early and the longer you have to pay for a big event like a wedding the easier it is to spread the load.

/ Do your prices include VAT?

No they exclude VAT at the prevailing rate. As at May 2011 the rate is 20%.

/ Can I collect and return the equipment myself?

Yes, it’s often the most cost-effective way of hiring equipment, especially if you live locally. This would not include the marquees.

/ What happens about breakages?

If we have taken a deposit we will deduct the cost of replacement from that, or if no deposit has been taken we will issue an invoice to cover the replacement cost.

/ Do you have a minimum order size?

No we are very happy to quote for the smallest event.

/ What size table cloths do we need?

4' round table needs an 85" round tablecloth
5' round table needs an 106" round tablecloth
5'6" round table needs an 120" round tablecloth
6' round table needs an 120" round tablecloth

/ When do we have to pay and how?

Payment must be made, in full, no later than 7 days before your event. We accept payment by debit/credit card, cheque or by BACS or other electronic bank transfers.

/ Can we come and visit your offices and storage units?

We’d be delighted if you’d like to visit us. Just call the office on 01580 850198, or email us on office@jubileehire.co.uk

/ Do we need to wash up galsses or crockery etc?

No, washing up is included in the price, we just ask you to scrape the plates.

/ Can we hire coloured linen from you?

Yes we can hire these in from another company, but they are slightly more expensive.

/ How many people can we seat at your tables?

We have tables that can seat 12, 10, 8, 6, and 4 people. You tell us what you want.

/ Do your gas ovens and tea/coffee urns come with gas?

Always.

/ Do the marquees leak?

Ours do not. Our marquees are designed and engineered by Germans. As with most things German they cost more because they are built to work better than cheaper alternatives.

/ Can you recommend caterers, florists, music providers etc

Yes we would be happy to furnish you with phone numbers so that you can check out each service at your leisure and choose the ones you want to entrust with your event.

/ Do we need to take out insurance?

Yes you do. Jubilee Hire Ltd does not insure the equipment once it has been delivered and set up on your site or the event itself, or your guests.

/ Does the marquee need to be heated?

Yes, there are very few evenings during an English summer when guests can relax in party wear after approximately 9pm in an outside enviroment. The specially constructed heaters come with a thermostat to ensure a constant agreeable temperature.

/ When will the marquee be put up?

On the day that has been agreed between us and you prior to the event.

/ How big a marquee will we need?

This would depend on how many guests you will have, whether they're seated or standing and whether you need a dance floor, or other facilities. We're more than happy to arrange a no-obligation site visit to help you work out the ideal marquee tailored for your event.
